Van Note Family

This shoot was really a special treat for me. Bruce Van Note was my high school music teacher. He was truly an amazing teacher who I am blessed to have known and to have learned so much from. Now just a hop, skip, and a jump down the road from where my family and I live, I was honored when he asked me to take pictures of he and his boys. Mr Van Note has a fabulous collection of antiques so I've included a few of those that intrigued me as well. Thank you again!!

Occleshaw Family

Photographing this wonderful family is an annual thing for us. What's so fun for me is being able to look back over the many years and not only marvel at how fast kids grow and change but to see my growth as a photographer as well. Jenn and Don have always been so good to me; patient and kind and encouraging as I try new things and explore this wonderful world of taking pictures. It's almost embarrassing to go over some of our early photo shoots! This session was especially fun because Mr D, their oldest, was really quite enjoyable to shoot and gave me some fabulous pictures. It felt watching my own child grow before my eyes. I was so proud of him!! This is a perfect example of how important it is to never give up on your kids. Showing faith in them and encouraging regardless of their inevitable orneriness will always be worth. Hard yes, worthy of hair pulling, and pillow screaming, but with patience, love and faith, it is SO worth it!

Ok, enough of my prego mommy moment...here are the pictures!

Horvath Family

I love taking family pictures. Seriously I do...and it is that much more enjoyable when I get to take pictures for a family that openly and honestly love each other and enjoy being together. These 2 lovebirds are no exception to that. It's quite an accomplishment to have 2 people still so in love with other even after throwing kids into the mix! It was crazy windy and cold outside, but they were happy and positive the whole time. You guys are so awesome!

On a personal note, I had almost no voice so a good friend came along to help give the family instructions. Thank you Casey!!
