This was such a fun photo session for me. Jaymee asked me to do some pictures of she and Tyler before he leaves in a few weeks to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Tyler will be spending 2 years in Cordoba, Argentina. Jaymee told me she wants to put a scrapbook together of their time together and of while he is away on his mission. At first I hinted that these pictures will be a great way of reminding him who is waiting for him at home, but she had a very mature response. She said that she wants him to be the best missionary he can be. She wants him to be able to focus on what he's doing and why he decided to serve a mission in the first place. "If I only get a letter once a month, that's fine. I just want him to not regret anything he does while he's there. I know he wants to do his best and I want to support him in any way that I can."
I was honored to be asked to do these pictures for them and I know Tyler will be an awesome missionary! Thank you both!
First, a small confession...I have heard for years how much fun doing Senior pictures can be but I have never had the opportunity to do them, until now! And now that I have, I totally love it! Don't get me wrong, I love doing newborn portraits and family shoots and definitely weddings but let's just say I have another new favorite. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have a GORGEOUS young lady as my first Senior to photograph. I had to laugh out loud when she said she didn't love having her pictures taken. You'd think she was born to be in front of the camera!! It was so hard to pick a few to share with you; they were all fabulous. I am definitely looking forward to doing many more Senior pictures in the future! Thanks again, Emily. Our kids will most definitely miss you when you go away to school!

I am proud to be a wife and stay at home mother of FIVE darling, adorable, wonderful children married to my very best friend.
As a photographer, I prefer my personal portrait style to be more photo journalistic than posed. I want to show families as real people full of quirks and life. I want you to see yourselves as loving, connected people, not just properly lined up dots on a page. I LOVE capturing those precious moments in the lives of a family that define who we are!
Although I do have a small studio in my home, my favorite location to shoot is definitely outdoors at that "Golden Hour" right before sunset! To see more of my current work, follow me on Facebook!
